In 2024, the theme for the RANZCOG ASM revolves around the concept of "Partnerships in Practice." This theme underscores the fundamental importance of partnerships across every facet of our roles as Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Our connection with the women under our care stands as the most evident partnership we engage in as individual practitioners. A significant gender gap has persisted throughout the years at all levels of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines all over the world. Even though women have made tremendous progress towards increasing their participation in higher education, they are still under-represented in these fields.
