Dr Payam Nikpoor is a urogynaecologist and pelvic reconstruction surgeon.
Payam has a Persian background where he obtained his primary medical degree and moved to Australia in 2007. Payam started his training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in Adelaide and moved to Melbourne to subspecialise in the field of urogynaecology.
During his 3 years of fellowship training in urogynaecology he worked at the Mercy Hospital for Women and Monash Health.
Currently, a fellow of the Royal Australian and new Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) and a Certified Urogynaecologist (CU), he works as a consultant at Monash Health Dandenong Hospital. In this position he runs the Pelvic Floor and Perineal Clinics with regular operating lists and is involved in teaching and training of junior medical staff and trainees.
In his private practice he consults at Waverley Private Hospital and Jean Hailes for Women (Clayton).
