The Urogynaecological Society of Australasia (UGSA) pleased to invite you to the Gold Coast to provide contemporary, scientific updates and new innovations in Urogynaecology.

Workshops will provide a new learning option for surgical techniques incorporating video teaching, as well simulation and common clinical scenarios. This meeting will provide expertise for generalists and sub specialists to update and consolidate their practice.


This meeting is for healthcare professionals including doctors, nurses, midwives, physiotherapists, students, researchers and educators interested in Female Pelvic Floor Dysfunction and Reconstructive Pelvic Floor Surgery. A wide range of best practice conservative and surgical treatments will be discussed and demonstrated through lectures, expert panels, live surgery, videos, workshops and breakfast sessions designed to encourage interactive discussion.

  • Prof Linda Cardozo OBE (UK)

    Linda Cardozo is Professor of Urogynaecology and Consultant Gynaecologist at King’s College Hospital and heads a busy and productive multi-disciplinary tertiary referral urogynaecology department.


  • Dr Mark Slack (UK)

    Mark Slack qualified in Medicine in South Africa (University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg) and completed his postgraduate training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the University of Cape Town.


  • Dr Matthew Barber (USA)

    Dr. Barber joined Duke from the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University where he was professor of Surgery and vice chair for Research in the Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health Institute (WHI) at the Cleveland Clinic. He was also the fellowship program director for Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic.


  • Dr Roger Goldberg (USA)

    Dr. Roger Goldberg is Director of the Division of Urogynecology at Northshore University Healthsystem, and Clinical Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine
