vNOTES WORKSHOP | SPONSORED BY APPLIED MEDICAL
Epworth Clinical Education & Simulation Centre Richmond

Lead Faculty: Supuni Kapurubandara, Professor Anna Rosamilia & Dr Vivien Wong

Vaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (vNOTES) gives surgeons the ability to provide every patient with the optimal treatment for their needs by maximizing the strengths of both vaginal and laparoscopic surgery into a single surgical technique.

vNOTES provides surgeons the opportunity to perform a more ergonomic and efficient procedure, whilst also offering patients benefits such as shorter hospital stay, faster recovery time, reduced post-operative pain and pain medication, plus a scarless operation with no abdominal incisions needed.

The path to proficiency in the vNOTES surgical technique begins with hysterectomy, along with additional application for myomectomy, cystectomy, adnexectomy, adhesiolysis, sacrocolpopexy and high utero-sacral ligament suspension as your confidence and skills develop.

For appropriately skilled surgeons who treat enough suitable patients, adding vNOTES to your practice is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovation revolutionizing gynaecological surgery all around the globe!

NB. This course is designed for advanced uro/gynaecologists, skilled in both vaginal and laparoscopic surgery, who wish to develop proficiency in vNOTES using the GelPOINT® V-Path transvaginal access platform and Voyant® Advanced Bipolar intelligent energy system. This course includes three components: completing online didactic modules prior to the course, as well as attending this half day hands-on procedure simulation workshop, followed by on-going support of your clinical adoption by the Applied Medical Surgical Specialist team.

Interested delegates for the Applied Medical vNOTES workshop are required to complete the following qualifying survey to confirm suitability for registration:
